As part of Leominster’s autumn Stitched Stories trail, the Lion Ballroom hosts two special screenings of the British Museum’s film The Bayeux Tapestry on 8th and 30th. Produced for Bayeux Around Britain and supported by WorldQuant, the film offers a vivid, accessible exploration of this world‑famous embroidered narrative. Through expert commentary and detailed close‑ups, it reveals the tapestry’s craftsmanship, its Norman historical context, and the dramatic story it depicts — from political intrigue to the Battle of Hastings.
